Introduction: A New Partner for a Proven Need

At Doceo, we’ve long helped organizations right-size their print environments with a mix of A3 and A4 devices. A4 has always been an important part of the conversation—especially for distributed teams, small departments, and cost-conscious offices.

Last week, at our internal kickoff, we launched an exciting new partnership: Kyocera’s A4 lineup is now part of the Doceo portfolio.

This isn’t about starting something new. It’s about strengthening what we already do—offering more choice, more flexibility, and more ways to deliver Proven Results.

Why Kyocera A4 stood out to us

Long-life design

Kyocera’s ECOSYS® technology uses long-life drums and separate toner cartridges, reducing part replacements, cutting waste, and improving uptime.

Predictable costs

With fewer consumables to replace, organizations see a stable cost per page across the device lifecycle. For example, the ECOSYS P3145dn prints up to 45 ppm, delivers its first page in about 5.3 seconds, and carries ENERGY STAR® certification for efficiency.

Scalable in small spaces

Kyocera’s compact devices scale with optional trays and modules. The P3145dn grows from a 600-sheet base to over 2,600 sheets with expansion options.

Strong performance

  • ECOSYS MA4000cix (Color MFP): 42 ppm in color and mono, 1200×1200 dpi, 7″ touchscreen, duplex scanning, expandable up to 2,000 sheets.
  • ECOSYS MA4000cifx: Similar, with fax and enhanced security features.
  • ECOSYS P3145dn (Mono Printer): Compact but fast, ideal for departments needing speed without the footprint.

Doceo Pro Tip: A4 no longer means “entry-level.” Kyocera’s latest devices deliver performance and quality that rival many larger systems.

A3 and A4: Complementary, not competitive

Adding Kyocera to our A4 mix doesn’t change the fact that A3 devices remain essential for many clients—especially for ledger printing and advanced finishing.

The real value comes when you combine A3 and A4 thoughtfully:

  • A3 hubs handle high volumes, specialized finishing, and 11×17 output.
  • A4 satellites take care of everyday letter/legal jobs, reducing the load on larger devices.

Together, this hybrid strategy lowers costs, improves uptime, and makes life easier for end users.

ROI Snapshot

Here’s a common outcome when organizations rebalance fleets with A4 devices:

  • Replace 6 under-utilized A3s with 10 Kyocera A4s + secure print release
  • 15% lower cost per page
  • 20–25% fewer service tickets (thanks to long-life consumables and distributed workload)

Where Kyocera fits in Doceo’s broader print technology portfolio

Kyocera strengthens our A4 bench. But it’s not the whole story.

Doceo continues to offer:

  • Toshiba, Epson, and Kyocera for A3 multifunction devices
  • Canon for large-format printing
  • Xerox for production printing
  • PaperCut™ and uniFLOW for print management software

Kyocera’s addition gives us more flexibility to match the right device to the right job—whether that’s a central A3 hub, a high-speed production system, or a compact A4 for a branch office.

FAQ

Why did Doceo add Kyocera now?

Because Kyocera’s A4 lineup aligns with our clients’ needs for reliable, efficient, and scalable compact devices.

Does this mean A3 is less important?

Not at all. A3 is still critical for high-volume and advanced output. Kyocera simply strengthens our A4 portfolio.

Which models are current in 2025?

The MA4000cix, MA4000cifx, and P3145dn are current and ENERGY STAR certified.

How does this affect current clients?

Existing fleets are fully supported. Kyocera A4 is a new option we can recommend where it makes sense.

My Closing Thoughts

Adding Kyocera to our A4 portfolio is about giving clients more of what they need: durability, scalability, and predictable costs in a compact form factor.

At Doceo, our job is to simplify technology and deliver measurable results. Kyocera’s A4 lineup helps us do just that.
